The Perspective Behind My Work

Many leadership and organizational approaches focus primarily on individuals. I begin somewhere different.

My work starts with three assumptions:

  • People develop within relationships.
  • Organizations function as interconnected systems.
  • Lasting change comes from understanding patterns, not just solving isolated problems.

Rather than asking “How do we fix this person?” I ask,

“What system is producing this outcome?”

That perspective shapes every coaching conversation, consulting engagement, and research project I undertake.

I’m a leadership coach, organizational consultant, educator, and researcher whose work sits at the intersection of psychology, business, and systems thinking.

Over the past three decades, I’ve worked across corporate, government, nonprofit, and higher education environments. Those experiences convinced me that meaningful change rarely happens in isolation. Whether coaching an executive, helping someone develop a personal brand, or consulting with an organization, I look for the patterns connecting people, relationships, and systems.

My academic work and professional practice continue to inform one another, allowing me to combine research with practical application. I believe the most effective solutions emerge when thoughtful inquiry, real-world experience, and practical action come together.
